[Tiny Float GIF]HHJ 852N - Morrison Electricar F85/36[Tiny Float GIF]

This page shows some pictures of this site's webmaster's own Morrison Electricar F85/36 milk float.

Most of these pictures were taken on the 44th Ipswich to Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Road Run, which the author attended in 2014.

Unfortunately, the original owner of HHJ 852N who had the float from 1974 until the 1980s is not known. It first changed hands some time during the early 1980s, when it was bought by Magness & Usher of Chelmsford. (Magness & Usher are now part of Dairy Crest.)

It was then fairly quickly transferred to G R Tanner of Halstead. The exact date of this transfer is not known, but G R Tanner disposed of the vehicle in November 1988, so again they didn't keep the float for long. (G R Tanner is also now part of Dairy Crest, having been acquired by Express Dairies (Arla Foods), who were then acquired by Dairy Crest.)

The float was then owned by Dairy Crest from 1988 until April 1996, when it was sold to Don Joyce Electric Vehicle Services of Fenstanton. Don Joyce presumably serviced and renovated the float, before selling it on to Chivers Farms of Impington, Cambridgeshire, who owned it until 1999.

Its final owner was ICI Imagedata (now ITW Imagedata) in Manningtree, who used it as a site runabout vehicle and never took it on the road. I purchased the float directly from ICI Imagedata in 2003, and the rest is history!
